The Speaker Series will feature presentations every hour by renowned scientists that will delve into recent discoveries, challenges, and innovative solutions, offering valuable insights into the world of science. These sessions will be informative, educational, and thought provoking for students of all ages.

11:30 - 12:30 Aerospace Center Panel Space for Opportunity: How UTEP's Aerospace Center Benefits Students and Small Businesses
12:30 - 1:15 Texas Book Festival Panel Pixels and Pages: Exploring Digital Design in Children's Literature, with Pedro Martín, Andrea Cáceres, and Mirelle Ortega
2:00 - 2:45 Leo Bañuelos UTEP’s Physics Professor will tell you why you should let your child grow up to be a scientist
3:00 - 3:45 El Vengador Cuántico A masked wrestler-scientist will give a brief history of
the universe
SUNDAY APRIL 7
10:00 – 10:45 Sebastián, Escultor Art & Mathematics. The creator of the massive Juarez sculpture, the “X”, will explain how he gets inspired by topology to make his fantastic creations.
11:00 - 11:45 Gerardo Herrera Mexico’s most cited scientist will talk about “Black Holes” and his new books “Lost Dimension” and “Antimatter”.
12:00 - 12:45 Héctor Noriega “Exoplanets”. UTEP’s Astronomy professor will explain the search for planets outside our solar system.
1:00 - 1:45 Antonio Rodriguez Can I get a date using AI? Austin entrepreneur, will explain the impact of AI on our society
2:00 - 2:45 Luis Basurto UTEP’s Astronomy professor will tell you what to expect and how to observe the solar eclipse of Monday 8/April
3:15 - 4:30 José Hernández Mexican Astronaut will share his story from being a migrant worker to flying on board the US Space Shuttle.
